What will happen to my existing team in eFootball 2023

Let’s now speak about what happens to your Base Team, Player Cards, and Managers after the version update 2.2.0. There can be two scenarios for each of these assets: either they will be carried over or they won’t be. Let us explore what would happen in the respective scenarios.

Base Team

  • Your Base team is available in version 2.2.0: In this case, your set team will remain unchanged after the upgrade and your base team will be carried over.
  • Your Base team is not available in version 2.2.0: When you log in following the maintenance, you will be prompted to select a new base team.

Players

  • Player cards bagged after the version upgrade 2.1.0: Following the release of the 2.2.0 update, all Player Cards signed throughout the aforementioned time frame will remain valid.
  • Player cards bagged before the version upgrade 2.1.0: There can be two possibilities: either your player would be eligible for carryover or you will be duly compensated with in-game rewards against that player.

The compensation rewards users are due to receive against the Non-Carryover player cards are as per the following slabs:

eFootball 2023 Carryover Guide: Tips and Tricks

Refrain from releasing any Players right now

By the end of October at the latest, Konami is likely to release the names of Player Cards that aren’t eligible for a carryover. Even if you don’t need that particular player, don’t release them till then. Let’s say the player you want to release ends up being a non-carryover asset. In that situation, you will lose out on the compensation rewards in the form of GP and Level Training Programs. If it is a Legendary Player Card, do not even consider releasing him at this time since, if he falls into the non-carryover category, he could earn you a Legendary Chance Deal.

Releasing Managers isn’t a good choice either

This is another obvious thing. One cannot afford to miss out on Compensation rewards of any kind. Hence stop cleaning up your unwanted players and managers until and unless Konami announces the list of those who are eligible for a carryover.

Keep track of when your eFootball Points and Nominating Contracts expire

Even though both of these assets will be eligible for a carryover in version update 2.2.0, there are chances that they may go inactive during the extensive maintenance that is scheduled prior to the release. This is due to the fact that these assets have specified expiration dates.

Therefore, if you see that they are approaching their expiration date, and use them to redeem in-game items before version update 2.2.0 to negate any risks.

Go into the version update with an empty inbox

Although Konami said that any unclaimed things from your inbox would be carried over, the story wasn’t the same during any of the carryover updates from the past. Because of this, we advise you to claim them to be safe and avoid running the danger of missing out on those benefits.
