It is clear from the theme that it is hinting at the upcoming World Cup event. Given that everyone will be watching to see which National Team will win the coveted championship, it is not at all surprising that the eFootball house has released a season update just a few days before the mega footballing event. The update will be available for download on the Google Playstore and Appstore from 16th November onwards.

eFootball 2023 Season 2 update: Upcoming Events and Rewards

With a primary focus on National Team events, eFootball 2023 Season 2 update will offer entertaining contests. The list is pretty impressive and engaging.

1. Showcase your true strength by fielding your favorite national teams

With the FIFA World Cup 2022 being just a week away, the inclusion of National Team Events is not much of a surprise.

  • eFootball 2023 is set to bring The National Teams trial matches as a part of the Season 2 Update. These teams come with some of the big names who will represent their nations on the biggest stage of them all.
  • Console users get a bonus token in the form of offline-only 2v2 matches, exclusive to the console version. However, not much information has been revealed on it just as yet. Most likely, they would be regular Tour Events with some bonus in-game rewards.

2. Go for National Honour with the eFootball International Cup

As announced in the past month, the Season 2 update is all set to include the eFootball International Cup 2022 competition, which will include players from all around the world competing for the highest prizes and bringing their home nation to glory.

A total of 1 Billion eFootball Coins are likely to be distributed among the users, and the weekend-only top 50 rankings will determine who wins the prize. Players can make a difference by helping their team win games or by scoring goals.

3. Experience the ultimate vs AI knockout showdown with the International Cup

With the same format, KONAMI is set to launch The International Cup experience, the first of its own vs. AI knockout showdowns. This seeks to simulate a knockout tournament against AI teams, which will be a go-to option for those who longed for a brand-new game option. Users must compete in games in order to move past the group stage, defeat the competition in the knockout round, and eventually win the trophy.

4. Earn exclusive rewards from Time-limited Tour and Challenge Events

National-themed Tours and Challenge events will be rolling in and out of the game every week. This feature remains the same as every other season. However, with the festive season on for football fans, it is expected that the claimable rewards from these events could go up since the Developers have mentioned them.

5. The all-new Epic (Big Time) and POTW Cards

Epic (Big Time) Cards

National Team Players who have left behind a lasting impression at some point in their footballing careers, will be taking the pitch as Konami has introduced an advanced version of Epic Player Cards- the Epic Big-Time Cards. Players like Diego Maradona and Neymar, who will play live with this new card theme, have already made headlines.

Additionally, the commentary crew will mention certain players in its discussion. This contributes to the immersive experience by making it seem as though everyone is watching a live broadcast and experiencing those amazing moments firsthand. Additionally, those players will be able to execute a “Monumental Celebration,” which is an exact replica of the goal celebration they executed during the highlighted game. The inclusion of former soccer stars makes Dream Team even more entertaining.

POTW Cards

Just as it is for any other footballing tournament going on around the world, the POTW will feature the standouts from the World Cup games, which means players have a chance to get the best national team performers in their squad, throughout the season!

6. Boost your Team with the new Match Pass

“Match Pass” is nothing but an in-game reward system with which you can unlock a range of rewards viz, Nominating Contracts, Training Level Programs, and many others. These items as we know help in boosting and enhancing our player stats and squad. The concept is similar to that of the Season Pass concept that many games adopt. You will now be able to accumulate additional awards with each game thanks to the inclusion of Match Pass.

  • Value Match Pass and Premium Match Pass can also be unlocked at one go using eFootball Coins.
  • You can find players that are only available in Value Match Pass and Premium Match Pass.

Final Thoughts

The Developers at Konami deserve a lot of appreciation for valuing the negative feedback from people post the transition of PES to eFootball, and making continuous efforts to bring back the old charm in this soccer franchise. Season 2 of eFootball 2023 surely looks promising and engaging with all the National Events in line. The newly added Epic (Big Time) Player Cards looks exciting and the introduction of the Match Pass would get users going with all guns blazing. Overall, the eFootball 2023 Season 2 announcements made today would surely keep users pumped up as they look forward to Thursday.
