Max Payne 1 and 2 Remakes are in production, Release window is yet to be confirmed
Max Payne to get a much needed upgrade!
Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that the remakes of the famous Max Payne series are in the works, while there has been no announcement regarding the release date, it is still great to see the classic series getting a remake after all these years. The news of the remake was shared by the studio’s finance report which stated that the remake project is underway but the studio shared no further information for the fans.
Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes will stay faithful to the third-person shooter perspective
The remake of Max Payne 1 and 2 will keep the games close to the formulae that allowed them to succeed and make a name for themselves in the market. The game will be a third-person shooter with a similar adrenaline mechanism which made the series a hit, the visuals of the game are said to be the major factor in the new development as the game will offer new updated visuals backed with the classic Max Payne storyline.
“Max Payne 1&2 remake progressed into the production readiness stage. We have gained clarity on the style and scope of the game, and we have an exceptionally well-organized team working on it. With these accomplishments, we are excited about the project and its future success.” The studio added via their financial report regarding the new remakes being in production. Despite the project getting an operational framework in place to operate, there has been no information regarding the official release from the side of the studio just yet.
The remakes will be released on all major consoles like PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S alongside PC. The studio did confirm that there would be certain tweaks in the gameplay too, which would allow the game to refine some of the bugs and repetitiveness of the previous installments.
The game, Max Payne 1 was released back in 2001 and a remake is something that surely we would definitely love to have. It would be really interesting to see how the remake of the series would pan out in the near future.
