Customizations in NFS Unbound are on a whole new level, with customization of character being also added to the mix. Car customizations were always very detailed and specific in NFS games, but in the latest release, you can also add new drip for your character. Customization can be done to what you wear and how you look, with a vast clothing option available to choose from along with facial features and hairstyles available.
How to unlock car customization in NFS Unbound
In case you would be wondering, why you can’t upgrade your ride yet, then you should know that car customization is a feature which is not available from the beginning of the game but is made available once you reach a certain level in the game.
The game offers you basic option to choose from 3 classic cars available in your garage, which you and your friends would tune up. For the first few races you will use that, then you will get the option to purchase a car, once this purchasing option is available, your car customization option will be available thereafter.
In the early part of the game, Customization is available to only the exterior of the car, which includes interiors. As you progress through the storyline, you’ll get the options to fine tune your car according to your needs.
Car customization can be done to enhance the looks and performance
NFS unbound allows you to customize your ride in two main aspects, the look and the performance. The look focuses on the style, with which you would want to rock the races up, the customization includes new rims, new windshields, exhausts, taillights, front and rear bumpers, side skirts, brake calipers, and license plate.
It also gives options to add under-glow, customize your horn, and much more. Based on performance, things are almost the same as previous titles, you have multiple tiers of engines, brakes, suspension, and internal parts, which would add value to the car depending on the product tier.
The game offers, upgrades to performances as well, each car offers at least 4 engine customization options. Each engine can be compared based on stock and potential power of the engines, you can upgrade the garage as well, to get your hands on new and better car equipment.
There is also an option to fine-tune your car by adjusting the handling, steering intensity, and downforce, which can be adjusted according to the players to defy physics.
