Genshin Impact Nilou Guide for best build, artifacts, weapons, and more

Nilou, the brand new five-star character who has just got her release in Genshin Impact as a playable character with the 2nd phase banners of Version 3.1. She bears Hydro Element and uses Swords as her weapon. Nilou is a very unique character with her ability to modify the DendroxHydro reaction which we have never seen in any other character so far. So let’s dive deep into the guide of Genshin Impact Nilou discussing the best build, artifact sets, weapons, and more.

Genshin Impact Nilou Talent and Playstyle

Nilou’s main strength lies in team’s focusing on Dendro Core’s meaning her main selling point as a character is her unique ties in with the DendroxHydro reaction. Her entire kit scales off of HP and her main META playstyle right now is solely focused on this reaction.

Playing her with anything other than DendroxHydro can be fun to try out, but it won’t yield results any better than her best META playstyle. Her skill has a unique attribute that will give the player either Hydro infusion on Normal attack or a surrounds her with a circle of water that applies Hydro overtime.

Her Burst deals massive amount of single instance damage and adds an effect on enemies called Lingering Aeon which deal another wave of damage to the enemy after a while.

Her Talent Level up Priorities are Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst > Normal Attack

Passive Talents (Important)

When it comes to Nilou, her Passive talents are actually what defines her as a character. Her passive 1, Court of Dancing Petals works only when her whole team consist of Dendro and Hydro teammates only which in turn renders her ability to get played in any other team except DendroxHydro suboptimal.

Talent Description
When all characters in the party are all Dendro or Hydro, and there are at least one Dendro character and one Hydro character:

The completion of the third dance step of Nilou’s Dance of Haftkarsvar will grant all nearby characters the Golden Chalice’s Bounty for 30s upon its completion.

Characters under the effect of Golden Chalice’s Bounty will increase the Elemental Mastery of all nearby characters by 100 for 10s whenever they are hit by Dendro attacks. Also, triggering the Bloom reaction will create Bountiful Cores instead of Dendro Cores. Such Cores will burst very quickly after being created, and they have larger AoEs.

Bountiful Cores cannot trigger Hyperbloom or Burgeon, and they share an upper numerical limit with Dendro Cores. Bountiful Core DMG is considered DMG dealt by Dendro Cores produced by Bloom. Should the party not meet the conditions for this Passive Talent, any existing Golden Chalice’s Bounty effects will be canceled.

Her passive talent 2 Dreamy Dance of Aeon is a strong passive that opens up her ability to work as a Strong Support for Dendro core teams where she isn’t the trigger for the Dendro Core explosion.

Talent Description
Every 1,000 points of Nilou’s Max HP above 30,000 will cause the DMG dealt by Bountiful Cores created by characters affected by Golden Chalice’s Bounty to increase by 9%. The maximum increase in Bountiful Core DMG that can be achieved this way is 400%

Best team comp for Nilou in Genshin Impact

Unlike other characters, Nilou doesn’t have wide options when it comes to picking teammates as she is limited to choosing from only Hydro and Dendro Element characters. The best way to pick out her character is by going for 2 Hydro and 2 Dendro teams. Since we do not have a Dendro healer in the game yet, we are limited between only 2 character and they are,

  • Kokomi ( Five-Star)
  • Barbara (Four-Star)

and as for the 2 Dendro partner we are also left with picking from 2 Character as the amount of Dednro characters available in the game are not that much. so for Dendro team mates yo need to choose both
