Candace is a latest edition to the Hydro 4-star character roster, released with the first phase banner of Cyno and Venti Banner in Genshin Impact version 3.1 update. Candace comes from the newly added desserts of Sumeru and is know as a true descendent of King Deshret. She specialize in buffing the Normal Attacks that are infused with an element by adding certain percentage of Elemental Damage bonus to a Normal Attack. In this Genshin Impact Candace guide, we will dig deep into her Playstyle, Artifacts, Weapon along with her Talent and Ascension materials.

Genshin Impact Candace Talents and Playstyle

Candace is the first Hydro Polearm character of the game who excels at buffing the Elemental normal attack of her teammates. Her Burst is the main attraction of her kit which alongside her passive skill Celestial Dome of Sand buffs the elemental infused normal attack of a character by a lot. this buff also applies to characters who gets elemental infusion from other characters buff.

Example: Chongyun, C6 Bennet and Candace Herself.

Her Talent Level up Priorities are Elemental Burst > Elemental Skill > Normal Attack

Passive Talents

Candace Passive talent are an important part of her whole kit, specially the Celestial Dome of sand passive that converts her HP after 3000 into Elemental damage bonus for Normal Attacks. it makes her Elemental Burst an even greater buffer for Elemental Normal Attack focused characters and makes her overall a HP scaling Character. This focus on HP Synergizes really well with the newly buffed Hydro Resonance.

Constellations

Candace has some really great Constellations that makes her a even greater support with each Con. Candace’s C1 and C6 is regarded as her best Constellation. Her C1 Extends her Burst uptime and is must have if you want to get the most out of her potential. C6The OverflowWhen characters (excluding Candace herself) affected by the Prayer of the Crimson Crown caused by Sacred Rite: Wagtail’s Tide deal Elemental DMG to opponents using Normal Attacks, an attack wave will be unleashed that deals AOE Hydro DMG equal to 15% of Candace’s Max HP. This effect can trigger once every 2.3s and is considered Elemental Burst DMG.

1. Noblesse Oblige

The 4 piece Noblesse Oblige is the best artefact for Support Candace. The 4 piece bonus increases her support capabilities as well as increases her personal damage. It is a common practice on Genshin impact to have the Noblesse 4-piece set on one team member and candace can fill that role perfectly.

1. Staff of Homa

Staff of Homa is undoubtedly one of the best weapon in the game. It works on every polearm character but Candace also has a special use for the weapons passive that increases HP by 20% as Candace passive allows her to converts her HP to elemental damage bonus buff. it is overall her best 5-star weapon.

Candace is a Elemental Normal Attack buffer and can works with any character that deals Elemental Normal Attacks. Some of the best Elmental NA character of Genshin impact right now are

  • Cyno
  • Yoimiya
  • Kamisato Ayato
  • Diluc

Since Hydro is a strong Element and lots of other character in the game also requires a hydro character to trigger strong Elemental Reactions, she can work in their team as a great Hydro Enabler too if you don’t have Xinqiu.
