Genshin Impact 3.0 Update: All Sumeru Puzzles and Solutions

HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact 3.0 update has added new puzzles to the already existing various puzzles scattered all across the map in the world of Genshin Impact. This article will present all the latest information on these puzzles of Sumeru and their solutions.

Genshin Impact 3.0: Puzzles and their solutions

Genshin Impact has already added various puzzles all across its map, starting from elemental activation to arrow shooting. On top of that, the Sumeru update has added mainly 2 new puzzle types.

New Sumeru puzzles

There are basically 2 types of puzzles in the 3.0 update of Genshin Impact. They are:

1. Contemplative Puzzles (exclusive to the Dendro Archon quest, which won’t be discussed here)
2. General in-map world puzzle

General map puzzles in Genshin Impact 3.0

There are mainly 4 types of puzzles under Genshin Impact 3.0 update in the Sumeru map. They are as follows:

1. Stone Pillar Seals
2. Strange Energy Extraction Device
3. Sumeru Square Grass Puzzles
4. Floating Dendro Puzzles

How to solve Stone Pillar Seals Puzzle

Travelling through the vast landscape of Sumeru, players will notice certain ancient mechanical monsters bound by stone seals. These are put in place to subdue certain dangerous monsters in the world of Genshin Impact.

Players can destroy the stone seals with a pyro–based attack and free the creature and fight it to gain rewards. Pyro works best for this because of the elemental reaction of Dendro and Pyro creates a “Burning Reaction”.

How to solve the Strange Energy Extraction Device Puzzle

During the course of exploring the vastness of Genshin Impact’s Sumeru Region, players will come across Strange Energy Extraction Device in Eremite camps. These are the second kind of puzzles added In the Sumeru update.

1. Finding the Control Keys

Before interacting with the actual Extraction Device, players will need to look for the control keys and shut them down within the stipulated time limit.

2. Defeat the incoming enemies

While travellers are in the process of shutting down these sinister devices in the Genshin Impact 3.0 Update, the enemies that installed this device will come running to protect it. Players must defeat them and continue the process of deactivating the device.

After these steps, players will be able to deactivate the Strange Extraction Device and shut them for good and claim the rewards.

How to solve Sumeru Square Grass Puzzles

On the journey through the vast expanse of Sumeru, players will notice certain patches of grass in a perfect square. This is the Square Grass Puzzle and to complete this Grass Puzzle in Genshin Impact, players must first find the beginning patch. It will sprout flowers and then must run through all the squares.

Each time a player touches it, new flowers will sprout. When they reach the one that is glowing, the squares that did not grow grass will now have grass on them.

Note

1. If a single square is missed, the player will fail the puzzle.
2. Stepping on the same square twice will also fail the puzzle.

How to solve Floating Dendro Puzzles

The Sumeru Floating Dendro Puzzles are puzzles in Sumeru introduced in Genshin Impact 3.0. These floating Dendro-like objects look quite similar to Dendroculi. In order to solve these puzzles, you need to summon Dendrograna from Auspicious Branches then use a Bow Character to shoot them with an Aimed Shot.

1. Summon Dendrograna
2. Shoot the floating Dendro object
3. Shoot the Dendro objects it spawns
