Genshin Impact Yoimiya guide for best build, artifacts, weapons, and more
Light up the Sky!
Naganohara Yoimiya, also known as the Fireworks Girl is a Pyro Main DPS character who was first released back in the 2.0 Update of Genshin Impact. Yoimiya was initially received with lots of precautions by the community, but since then she has established herself as a staple Main DPS character in the META. Yoimiya Just got her rerun banner in the 1st phase of the version 3.2 banners alongside Dendro Archon Nahida. The banner also has the Four-Star pyro character Bennet, who is one of her strongest support characters. In this Genshin Impact Yoimiya guide, we’ll dive deep into her best build, artifact sets, weapons, and more.
Genshin Impact Yoimiya Talents and Playstyle
Skill Talents
Yoimiya is a 5-Star Pyro Bow character who specializes in strong pyro Normal attacks to burst down her foes. She has a strong normal attack multiplier and her Kit helps in buffing her normal attacks as well as buffing her team’s damage.
Yoimiyas Elemental skill, Niwabu Fire-Dance is the main part of her Kit. The skill converts her normal attack into Pyro and increases its damage. This Normal Attack buff lasts for 10 seconds with a cooldown of 18 seconds.
Elemental Burst, Ryukin Saxifrage is kind of an overlooked part of her kit. It deals Pyro damage upon being used and buffs Yoimiyas whole team except herself. Her burst provides an Aura Blaze buff which deals explosive aura damage to the enemy when her teammates deal any instances of damage with an interval of 2 seconds.
Talent level Priority for Yoimiaya is Normal Attack > Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst
Passive Talents
Yoimiya’s first passive talent Tricks of the Trouble-Maker further increases her damages from the pyro-infused Attacks. Every time she deals damages using Niwabu Fire-Dance her Pyro Damage bonuses will increase by 2%. A maximum 20% Pyro Damage bonus can be gained through this passive. The second Passive of Yoimiya, Summer-Night’s Dawn increases the Support capabilities of her burst Ryukin Saxifrage by adding a 10% attack buff for her teammates. This buff can be further increased to 20% by dealing damage with Niwabu Fire-Dance Normal Attack.
Constellation
Yoimiya has access to some really strong constellations with her C2 being a massive boost to her overall DPS. Combining the C2 with her passive Tricks of the Trouble-Maker, you will receive a massive boost of 45% Pyro Damage bonus.
C1 | Agate Ryuukin: The Aurous Blaze created by Ryuukin Saxifrage lasts for an extra 4s. Additionally, when an opponent affected by Aurous Blaze is defeated within its duration, Yoimiya’s ATK is increased by 20% for 20s. |
---|---|
C2 | A Procession of Bonfires: When Yoimiya’s Pyro DMG scores a CRIT Hit, Yoimiya will gain a 25% Pyro DMG Bonus for 6s. This effect can be triggered even when Yoimiya is not the active character. |
C3 | Trickster’s Flare: Increases the Level of Niwabo Fire-Dance by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C4 | Pyrotechnic Professional: When Yoimiya’s own Aurous Blaze triggers an explosion, Niwabi Fire-Dance’s CD is decreased by 1.2s. |
C5 | A Summer Festival’s Eve: Increases the Level of Ryuukin Saxifrage by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C6 | Naganohara Meteor Swarm: During Niwabi Fire-Dance, Yoimiya’s Normal Attacks have a 50% chance of firing an extra Kindling Arrow that deals 60% of its original DMG. This DMG is considered Normal Attack DMG. |
Best Artifact Sets for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact
1. Echoes of an Offering
Theoretically, the Echoes of an Offering set is Yoimiyas best in-slot artifact set, but it does have some RNG factors tied into it and a massive problem that put it at a disadvantage for players who play above 30 ping due to some input lag issues. As of version 3.2, the bug still exists in the game hench why you should not farm this artifact if you are playing on High Ping.
2-Piece Set | ATK +18% |
---|---|
4-Piece Set | When a Normal Attack hits opponents, there is a 36% chance that it will trigger Valley Rite, which will increase Normal Attack Damage by 70% of ATK. This effect will be dispelled 0.05s after a Normal Attack deals DMG. If a Normal Attack fails to trigger a Valley Rite, the odds of it triggering the next time will increase by 20%. This trigger can occur every 0.2s. |
2. Shimenawa Reminisence
While theoretically, the Echoes set is Yoimiya’s best in-slot Artifact set, going for the Shimenawa set is a great choice due to the set being located in the best Artifact Domain of the game. The EOSF and Shimenawa domain is widely considered by the Genshin community to be the best Artifact domain as well as the most Resin efficient domain. The 4-piece Shimenawa has a great 4-piece bonus, but there’s a condition that needs to be fulfilled to get the 4-piece buff which is losing out 15 energy from her elemental bursts. This condition can lead to some minor issues in her Playstyle but nothing major unless you are using the 4* Hamayumi Bow then you should go for the artifact options.
2-Piece Set | ATK +18% |
---|---|
4-Piece set | When casting an Elemental Skill, if the character has 15 or more Energy, they lose 15 Energy, and Normal, Charged, Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 50% for 10s. |
3. Retracing Bolide
Aesthetic and Lore wise it is safe to assume this is definitely Yoimiyas best artifact set, but it lacks behind Shimenawa a bit, but it is much more comfortable than 4-piece Shimenawa since it doesn’t have any energy issues. This set requires a strong Shielder like Zhongli and Thoma to function properly.
2-Piece Set | Increases Shield Strength by 35% |
---|---|
4-Piece Set | While protected by a shield, gain an additional 40% Normal and Charged Attack DMG |
Best weapon for Yoimiya in Genshin Impact
1. Thundering Pulse
The Five-Star Bow Thundering Pulse is Yoimiya’s Best in-slot Weapon. It has a really high Crit Damage secondary and a passive that was based around the whole kit of Yoimiya. The passive increases Attack by 20% and give a Normal Attack buff. The buff from this passive also Synergises well with the 4-piece Shimenawa Artifact set.
Type | Bow |
---|---|
Base ATK | 46 |
Rarity | ★★★★★ |
Bonus Effect | CRIT DMG + 14.4% |
Skill | Increases ATK by 20% and grants the might of the Thunder Emblem. At stack level 1/2/3, the Thunder Emblem increases Normal Attack DMG by 12/24/40% The Character will obtain 1 stack of Thunder Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Skill (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack’s duration is calculated independently. |
2. Rust
The Four-Star Bow Rust is an excellent choice of weapon for Yoimiya and it is her best Four-Star weapon. At higher refinement, it can even outperform some of the Five-Star weapons in the Game.
Type | Bow |
---|---|
Base ATK | 42 |
Rarity | ★★★★ |
Bonus Effect | ATK + 9.0% |
Skill | Rapid Firing: Increases Normal Attack DMG by 40% but decreases Charged Attack DMG by 10%. |
3. Hamayumi
The Inazuma Craftable, Hamayumi is the best Free to play option if you don’t have any five-star bow or Rust available. Since it is a craftable weapon, getting it to refinement is easy to do if you have the billets. One downside of this weapon is it has a synergy issue with Shimenawa 4-piece set due to it requiring 100% energy up-time which is hard to do with Shimenawa.
Type | Bow |
---|---|
Base ATK | 41 |
Rarity | ★★★★ |
Bonus Effect | ATK + 12.0% |
Skill | Full Draw: Increases Normal Attack DMG by 16% and Charged Attack DMG by 12%. When the equipping character’s Energy reaches 100%, this effect is increased by 100%. |

Overload Team of Yoimiya
Although the overload reactions knockout effect can be a hassle to play with, it’s actually not bad for Yoimiya if you don’t have a shield character since she prefers for the enemy to stay away from her during her normal attack sequence. The team consists of one Electro character to proc the Overload reaction. Electro characters can be either Fischl or Beidou. As for the rest of the team, they are very flexible like the rest of her team.
Special Dish
Like any other character, she also has a favourite Special dish.
Name: Summer Festival Fish
Effect: Restores 40% of Max HP and an additional 2,350 HP to the selected character.
