Riot Games just dropped a new cinematic trailer of the upcoming Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 called ‘Revelation.’ Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 is set to release soon after the ongoing Episode 5 Act 3 ends. Riot Games has already announced that the ongoing episode ends on 9 January. The new episode also comes with a lot of new content in Valorant, including a new map, map rotation, skins, smurf detection system changes, and many more. In this article, we will provide you with a detailed overview of everything we expect from Valorant Episode 6 Act 1.
Valorant Episode 6 Act 1: New Indian map
Riot Games has been dropping a lot of teasers lately to hype up the launch of the new episode. One of the most hyped additions in this episode is the arrival of a new map. Leaks had already revealed that the new map could be attached to India in some way. However, it is now almost confirmed that the map will be based in India, according to the hints dropped in the latest cinematic trailer of the new episode.
The next map is seen in its entirety for the first time in the cinematic trailer. The Western Ghats of India and Harbor provide the background for this map, where Astra was seen to be roaming around. The structure of the map, which is seen right before the video is brought to a close, reveals that there will be three locations on the map very similar to Haven.
The developers have not yet disclosed the official name for the map. Nevertheless, Harbor, Astra, and a few other characters in the teasers have referred to it as the “City of Flowers.” Given that single-word titles have always been included on Valorant’s maps, it is quite probable that the real name will be different from “City of Flowers.”
Valorant Episode 6 Act 1: New map rotation system
Valorant has previously implemented the seven-map rotation system in the competitive mode for maintaining rank integrity. As a result, with the addition o Pearl, Split was removed from the map pool. As per the announcement made by Riot Games recently, the upcoming competitive map pool of Valorant will not include Bind and Breeze.
In their place, Split will return to the competitive map pool. Riot Games is yet to announce the last map on the map pool. But it will most likely be the newest map. However, if that is the case, it will be the first time Riot adds a new map to the competitive map pool soon after the release.
Valorant Episode 6 Act 1: New Battlepass rewards and skins
The skins and rewards of the upcoming battle pass are yet to be revealed by Riot Games. It is anticipated that Riot will release the Valorant Episode 6 Act 1 Battle Pass on the 10th of January, the same day that patch 6.0 will be made available to players. The battle pass may be purchased for 1000 VP. Keep an eye on this page as we will update you with the battle pass contents as soon as they are revealed.
Premier game mode is expected to arrive in Episode 6
Riot Games previously announced a new competitive game mode in Valorant called ‘Premier‘, which will be a game mode above radiant and be a path-to-pro for the players, who can form teams and compete against other teams in pre-scheduled matches. The game mode was previously only available for Brazil.
However, the developers gave no official release date for the game mode. Leakers and fans are speculating that the game mode might be introduced in the game in any of the acts of this episode. Unfortunately, we will need to wait longer to hear any official words from the developers regarding the new game mode.
Valorant Episode 6 Act 1: Release date
Per previous announcements by Riot Games, Episode 5 Act 3 is ending on January 9, 2023. It is most likely that the new episode will go live as soon as the current episode ends.
