Tekken 8 will bring the fight to a new generation
The Tekken 8 trailer released by Bandai Namco reveals two main characters of the Tekken series, Jin Kazama and his father, Kazuya Mishima, who are seen fighting against each other amidst rain, storm, and fire around them. The two keeps fighting, and trade hits back and forth before Jin finally knocks out Kazuya. The trailer looks like real-time gameplay footage, so that the fans might expect a game similar to the graphics shown in the trailer.
The story of Tekken 8 will be set in the aftermath of Tekken 7 and will revolve around Jin and his fight against his father, Kazuya. Tekken 7 ended with Kazuya killing his father, Heihachi, and fighting against the G Corporation and Mishima Zaibatsu, and now Jin is back and plans to take down Kazuya.
The characters that might be present in the game are still unclear; only Jin and Kazuya have been revealed so far. Other fan-favorite characters can return, or additional DLC characters might feature in the game.
Bandai Namco previously revealed that Bandai Namco would build Tekken 8 on Unreal Engine 5, and the developers would redesign the characters and give them high-definition body features.
