The game is a JRPG and revolves around a turn-based combat system for the fights. In One Piece Odyssey, the players control the protagonist of the show Monkey D. Luffy as he leads the Straw Hat Pirates on various adventures and navigates unknown waters as their crew captain.
When faced with adversaries, the world of exploration on the screen turns into a combat screen where fights take place. The game’s version of the events in the arcs will differ from the show in order to make the experience fresh for old fans as well.
