Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is now confirmed to be making an appearance in Deadpool 3

Mark your calendars for what seems to finally be a MCU movie everyone’s excited for

In a tweet with more than a million likes now (along with upwards of 27 million plays), Ryan Reynolds has made a huge announcement regarding Deadpool 3 as now we know that Hugh Jackman will be reprising the role of the Wolverine we all know and love (and spoiler alert, the Wolverine that’s also supposed to be dead if we were to go according to 2016’s Logan but who knows how they’re gonna bring this iconic character back).

In classic Ryan Reynolds fashion, the actor made a rather satirical video, all of it leading upto the dialogues that probably made the day of every Deadpool and Wolverine fan. As Hugh Jackman walks by in the background, Reynolds asks “Hey, Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time”, which is answered with a “Yeah, sure, Ryan”.

What happens when Reynold’s cool Deadpool meets Jackman’s rough Wolverine

For a while now, the Deadpool movies have been a breath of fresh air for many Marvel fans owing to the character’s edginess, humor, the more mature presentation and obviously, Ryan Reynolds’ amazing personality that makes the hero what he is.

With Shawn Levy at the helm (who also worked with Reynolds on “Free Guy” and “The Adam Project”) Deadpool will be back, hopefully with plenty of gore and other nasty stuff, quite a bit of 4th wall breaking and the amazing quips. The movie also has an official release date! It’ll be hitting theatres on the 6th of September, 2024. A little less than a year away but if it’s as good as the first two, then it’s definitely going to be worth the wait. This will of course be an MCU production since Disney is buying out 20th Century Fox.

How they fit in the supposedly dead Wolverine is still to be seen but whatever it is, should be interesting to see. For now, that’s all we have on the next installment of Deadpool.

Update: Ryan Reynolds has now posted a new tweet clarifying some burning questions from fans and while most of it is just Reynolds and Jackman goofing around, they do clarify that Logan took place in 2029 and this is completely separate from that (likely a prequel). They also thank Kevin Feige and the MCU, basically cementing their entry into the universe.

What do you think about Deadpool officially joining the MCU and Wolverine also making an appearance in the next Deadpool movie
