Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty: Release date, system requirements, and more

Fight against warlords and demons from the ancient three kingdoms period of China

Team Ninja has announced their new dark fantasy Soulslike game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be released on March 23, 2023. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was revealed back in the Xbox, and Bethesda Games demo back in June, and a demo of the game was released by Team Ninja, which gathered a positive review from the community. This article will discuss everything you need to know about Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, including its release date, platform availability, system requirements, pre-order details, and many more.

Set out in the adventure during the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history

The dark fantasy Soulslike game Wo Long: Fallen dynasty will be set in the three kingdoms period of historical China, years after the fall of the Han dynasty. The game doesn’t have any difficulty settings, as the developers have introduced a moral system where the players must increase their ranks to make their characters stronger.

The game is expected to be challenging, just like Team Ninja’s previous game Nioh and will be on a more massive scale compared to the earlier games. The game will feature legendary characters from the three kingdoms period, and the players will have to fight against warlords and demons in the Chinese martial art type combat system. Players can use powerful martial arts attacks and wizardry spells by raising their Spirit using the Qi stored.

The game will also have a variety of weapons from the Three Kingdoms period for the players to choose from in combat. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will have different multiplayer features, including co-op mode, just like Team Ninja’s previous Nioh games.

In an exclusive interview with IGN, Team Ninja previously revealed that the game’s title directly refers to the main character, and the anonymous main character plays an essential role in the game’s story. Producer Yasuda revealed in the interview, “The Three Kingdoms period is very long, but we’re only depicting the beginning of it. During this timeframe, the iconic figures of the Three Kingdoms period were not known to the public yet. More than anyone else, though, the main character is one of those heroes yet to become famous.”

The developer has also announced three DLC packs of the game with the Season Pass of the Digital Deluxe Edition; these packs will add new demons, scenarios, stages, weapon times, and more to the game. Moreover, fans who will order the game before March 16 will receive the Baihu Armor, and those who pre-order the game will receive Zhuque Armor.
