Level up quickly with this short and sweet guide.
Warhammer 40K: Darktide has been released on PC for a while now and the fans have been grinding their way to reach the highest possible XP level. However, there are certain tips that can help them reach there faster. So in this guide, we will cover every aspect of Warhammer 40k Darktide including what is the max level, what is the fastest way of farming XP, How to reach the max level faster, etc.
What is the Max level in Warhammer 40k Darktide and how long does it take
The highest level possible to reach is 30. How long does it take? Well, that will differ for every player but considering you take on challenging missions that are not very difficult nor are they too easy for your current level, it might take you somewhere around 18-20 hours of gameplay. Either way, it takes time and effort and there are no shortcuts, although we have listed a bunch of methods to reduce that effort and cut down on the required time to a certain extent.
How much Gold and XP does each difficulty bring
Below we have compiled a list of how much gold and experience points are gained after completing missions with each corresponding set of difficulties:
Difficulty level | Gold | Experience points |
---|---|---|
Sedition | 2,280 | 1,900 |
Uprising | 4,180 | 2,000 |
Malice | 7,440 | 3,100 |
Heresy | 14,820 | 4,250 |
Damnation | 19,950 | 5,450 |
How to get XP faster in Warhammer 40k Darktide
1. Take on missions suitable for your level
Basically, the higher the difficulty the more attractive rewards, but taking on missions that are too difficult for you and your team to handle will only result in you losing a match. While on the flip side if you take on a mission too easy for you it will take an eternity to reach your goal.
So the most logical option is to take on the most difficult mission that is safely possible to win with your current level and equipment. Doing this should help you cut down time and reach the max level faster.
2. Equip better gear and passives
For every five levels, your classes will be rewarded with a new passive. Do not forget to equip this as this can make quite a difference. As you level up and take on more difficult missions, you will be at a serious disadvantage if you do not use your high-level gear and abilities.
Worst case scenario you will struggle to win. These fancy pieces of equipment and high-level passives will not only give you additional power but also give your abilities some bonuses as well. Use them wisely and plan out your build.
3. Wear Curios with Experience bonuses
Curios can be worn to get different types of additional bonuses such as Max health, Max stamina, additional wounds, etc. It is always wise to wear curios that compliment your entire build. Although we would like to suggest that some curios come with an experience bonus that can significantly help boost your experience gain. Curios can be bought from the armory.
4. Let each class do their job
Each class comes with its own strengths and weaknesses. Plan out and focus on your strengths and work as a team. Don’t rush into every enemy. Your class may be weaker against certain kinds of enemies let the other classes handle them.
For example, there are certain enemies with a blue aura around their heads if they are not an immediate threat ignore them and focus on the important task at hand. Maybe these enemies can be better taken out by a Psyker, let him handle it. Check out our detailed class guide for more info.
