The Illumination‘s official trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie is out and it seems immensely promising. It reveals the first glimpse of Princess Peach and Donkey Kong in the film. This is the first spin-off animated film based on Nintendo‘s super popular game. The trailer reveals incredible visuals of the iconic mushroom kingdom and rainbow road, amongst many other such splendid things.

The Super Mario movie plot follows the same story as the video game
Mario and his brother Luigi are out on a quest through an underground labyrinth to save the captured Princess Peach and fight Bowser, aka the king of Koopa, who is trying to rule the world, in an action-packed comedy adventure.
Mario is shown fighting Donkey Kong in an arena at the very beginning of the trailer, or more like getting destroyed by him. Princess Peach’s girl boss persona comes as a surprise and we’re all here for it.
Release date
The Super Mario Bros movie releases on April 7, 2023, in the United States and on April 28, 2023, in Japan and we absolutely cannot wait to witness the greatness firsthand.

This animated movie stars the voices of many brilliant actors like Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), Keegan Michael Key (Toad), Seth Rogen (Donkey Kong), Sebastian Maniscalco (Foreman Spike), Fred Armisen (Cranky Kong) and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek).
