After many delays, the developer of STALKER 2, GSC Game World, has finally confirmed that the game will be finally released on December 2023 for PC and Xbox platforms. The most recent instalment of the critically acclaimed Stalker video game series has been in the works for a considerable time. A number of setbacks over the course of the last year have plagued it. The developers have also shared more details on the game, including system requirements and a new gameplay trailer.

The new trailer gives us a new glimpse into the characters and the game’s plot. The first scene seen in the trailer is one that very certainly takes place during the occurrence that led to the creation of The Zone and established the mind-controlled Monolith group. The trailer also gives us a good look at the game’s environment.
However, the dialogue in the trailer reveals mystery experiments that took place in The Zone. The stalker books are also supposedly located at The Zone. As the trailer reveals, mad experiments on the Noosphere were the root cause of the catastrophe that resulted in the formation of the Second Exclusion Zone in Chornobyl.
More information on the gameplay of STALKER 2 is yet to be revealed by the developers. The game’s development process was also slightly interrupted as the developers were based in Ukraine, which Russia is currently invading. However, the developers have assured the fans that new updates will be coming soon in the future.
