Starbreeze Studios officially confirmed that they are making Payday 3, a sequel of the game Payday 2, which was released nine years ago. Payday is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that allows the players to take the role of the criminals and carry out heists in the game.
Payday 3 will be set in modern-day New York City
Payday 3 was announced before, too, when the developers shared their plans of switching to the Unreal Engine 4 for game development and for the players to experience a more immersive experience on game heists. Payday 3 will be set in New York in 2020, ten years after the end of Payday 2 in Washington, DC.
Good news for the fans, the famous Payday: The Heist crew will be back in action in this game. Payday 3 will have elements from a more modern world than its previous prequels. Payday 3 will have an improved surveillance system in the city to make the game harder for the players, and the developers will also add cryptocurrencies to the game.
Payday 3 will be released in multiple platforms
Payday 3 is scheduled to be released in 2023. The developers have shared their plans to release the game on PC and Consoles like Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. Payday 2 is currently available on Steam for PC, Xbox Live and Playstation Network. The developers also shared their plan of supporting their next game Payday 3, with more new content to be released for years after its launch.
Payday 2, the prequel of Payday 3, previously received massive support from the fans and audience due to its immersive experience of the crime world and its unique co-op gameplay. The fans eagerly wait for the famous Payday crew to be back in action in a new modern world to plan more exciting heists. However, we might have to wait for some more months for the publishers to release any trailer or gameplay footage of Payday 3.
