The PUBG Global Championship 2022, also known as the PGC 2022 was hosted in the United Arab Emirates in Dubai and concluded earlier yesterday. The tournament ended with the esteemed European esports organization Natus Vincere, popularly known as NAVI. In an amazing and intense show of competition, the tournament has definitely been one worth watching.
PUBG Global Championship 2022 Overview
The PUBG Global Championship 2022 was hosted in Dubai and concluded on the 20th of November 2022. The PGC is the most prestigious tournament in the PUBG PC esports scene and this year has been no exception. The tournament was divided into four stages with teams being knocked out in each preliminary stage, with the Grand Finals featuring 16 of the best teams from all over the world, all participating by qualifying for the final stages by fighting against the best of the best.
The twenty matches which were hosted in the Grand Finals saw a cut-throat level of competition which went on to the final day of the tournament and to the last match. The top three of the tournament were separated by less than twenty points. Natus Vincere, 17 Gaming, and Twisted Minds displayed an impressive show of gunpower and consistency which has no doubt been extremely entertaining for us all.
The PUBG Global Championship featured a huge prizepool of $3,358,442 with the participating teams getting a share of the money based on their final position of the team in the tournament. The winners NAVI took home an amount of $1,008,338 while runners-up and third-placed 17 Gaming and Twisted Minds grabbed an amount of $504,169 and $252,085 respectively. Meanwhile, the MVP of the tournament NAVI xmpl got awarded an amount of $10,000.
All in all the tournament was indeed one worth watching and gave us some of the best pieces of gameplay in PUBG in recent times. Also, NAVI once again proved that they are indeed a force to be reckoned with in the world of esports in the world, and deserves their fame as one of the most well-known organizations in the world.
