Fans of the series who didn’t have these two platforms can enjoy Monster Hunter Rise.

Monster Hunter Rise gameplay overview

To those unfamiliar with the series, the Monster Hunter franchise as the name suggests, involves hunting monsters. There isn’t too much focus on a story or narrative as such but instead, the game revolves around the way you manage to take down the several monsters that fill the world.

The beauty of these games is that while there isn’t any sort of traditional class system, you will find that each weapon has its own unique playstyle and abilities. The combat isn’t just a simple hack-and-slash experience either. Instead, you have several combos and special attacks that almost give you a souls-like experience.

Timing your attacks is often very important as every monster can be deadly. Each enemy requires a different approach in terms of how you are going to take it down and the combat loop is something that remains fresh and engaging. Considering these aspects, It’s not hard to understand why the game is loved by many.
