Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II by Activision has broken $1 billion in international sell-through just 10 days after its debut on October 28, 2022, continuing to shatter series records. The new record surpasses the old record for the franchise, which Black Ops II established in 2012 with 15 days. Modern Warfare II is living up to its hype by breaking these records every day. The game also made a record by crossing $800 million in 3 days.

In the first 10 days after its release on October 28, Modern Warfare II gamers have already logged more than 200 million hours and over 1 billion matches across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. Modern Warfare II has also broken a few other records. The game is the highest-grossing entertainment opening of 2022. Modern Warfare II is also the #1 top-selling opening in franchise history topping $800 million in sell-through following its first three days of release.
