Kena: Bridge of Spirits is coming to Steam with an anniversary update

Kena: Bridge of Spirits comes on Steam for the first time today, along with the Anniversary Update for all current platforms, according to independent game development and animation studio Ember Lab. With New Game+, Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits, accessibility enhancements, and more, the Anniversary Update is the largest piece of DLC for Kena: Bridge of Spirits to date. The update is a component of the enlarged Kena: Bridge of Spirits that is currently available on Steam for free, and is also freely downloadable via the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Epic Game Store.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits, one of the most well-known quests from an independent studio in recent years, provides players an action-adventure game that combines a gripping narrative with exploration, puzzle solving, and quick-fire fighting. As Kena, a youthful Spirit Guide, brings harmony back to an ancient community amid a once-thriving environment, the game takes the player on a voyage of self-discovery.

Players who have finished the game can start over in the New Game+, starting from the beginning of Kena’s journey, using their previously obtained skills, clothes, and Rot to face off in completely revamped and more difficult combat encounters. Individually equippable charmstones are special collectibles that alter Kena’s attributes and skills in various ways.

In three distinct categories—Obstacle Courses, Wave Defenses, and Boss Reflects—the new game mode Spirit Guide Trials tests players’ abilities with a range of tasks that can be replayed. After completing the Spirit Guide Trials, Kena can choose from a variety of clothes that are each inspired by a different character she encounters on her journey.

Each trial’s extra goals can be completed to unlock other color options for each outfit as well as certain special Charmstones. Delux edition owners will also receive unique outfits.
