Apex Legends is one of the most successful live-service games. The game has managed to feature constantly in top positions in Steam player count over the years. Apex Legends is about to complete four years and its developers, Respawn Entertainment have planned events to celebrate the game’s fourth anniversary alongside the release of Season 16.
Apex Legends’ Season 16 will be named ‘Revelry’
According to a report by Insider Gaming, Apex Legends’ Season 16 named ‘Revelry’ will kick off with an anniversary event on February 14, 2023. Respawn Entertainment will also have an event before the new Season starts called “Celestial Sunrise Collection Event” through which players can get 24 Collection event items.
The rumoured Hardcore game mode is also expected to release as part of this event. The Hardcore mode is rumoured to be harsher than the traditional game mode. It will remove HUD elements, limit the player’s ability to swap armour, and limit to level 1 armour without helmets.
The mode will also reduce the number of health items, and ammo drops and increase the amount of damage inflicted by the ring. This game mode is supposed to be tenser, with less scope for error than other game modes available.
Again, as reported by Insider Gaming Apex Legends’ next event will release on March 7, 2023. The event is named the “Imperial Guard Collection Event”, where we might see Wraith’s kunai heirloom being recoloured, which has been rumoured to be coming for some time. However, no information has been provided regarding the heirloom-rarity item this event will produce.
Apex Legends is available as a free-to-play title on all the major gaming platforms. You can download the game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Android and iOS.
