On the gamescom Opening Night this year a new exciting game was announced, which is none other than Homeworld 3 a real-time strategy Sci-fi game sequel to the Homeworld Series. Homeworld 3 is developed by Blackbird Interactive and will be released by Gearbox Publishing in first half of 2023. It has been around 20 years since the last Homeworld game was released known as the “Homeworld 2”. Fans have waited for this moment for a very long time after the successful and popular games Homeworld and Homeworld 2.
Homeworld 3 will takeover from the previous games
Homeworld 3 is based on a place of hyperspace and an intergalactic dimension. There’s plenty of spaceships and stations, there’s also destroyed spaceships from which particles are being scattered all round the space.
The game follows the story of Imogen S’Jet, the successor of Karan and the only one who could solve the mystery which will save the world from the antagonist called “The Anomaly”. Homeworld 3 will takeover from the previous Homeworld games as seen when the mothership called Khar-Khushan exiting the hyperspace with the same animation as the old games.
The game will feature both solo and multiplayer modes, but it will be hugely focused on the single player campaign mode. It will also include space structures such as megaliths and trenches which will provide for more dynamic gameplay and better tactics.
There will be plenty of fights between the protagonist’s spaceship and antagonist’s army of spaceships. The usage of such structures will be a crucial part of the game and will play a part in developing the apt strategies. The game’s spaceship fighting action will be even more attractive while still following the original mode of the previous games.
Homeworld 3 platforms, system requirements, and more details
Homeworld 3 will only be released on PC (Windows) platform. There’s currently no official inform about the games Recommended System Requirements and Minimum System Requirements. It will be made available in the near future by the developers of the game. Stay tuned with us as we will give the update as soon as its announced.
There’s also a Collector’s Edition for all the fans out there and also is available for pre booking. It’s cost is estimated as $180 and will be released on 30th June 2023. Players can also add the Homeworld 3 game to their wishlist both in Steam and Epic Games and wait for the release to get early notification about it.

Homeworld 3 developer Blackbird Interactive was announced that the game is in development at the moment but will be made available and released for the fans and all the new players in the first half of 2023.
