Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2022: complete list of announcements

Nintendo held its latest Indie World Showcase in order to announce more than new 20 indie games. The announcements included new updates regarding upcoming big titles, as well as newly announced titles. As an indie game showcase, the event solely focused on independent game developers. The newly shown games included a variety of gameplay including a mix of socio-cultural elements as well. In this article, we will list all the announcements that were made at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2022.

Complete list of games announced at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase 2022

1. Sports Story

Sports Story is an upcoming sports RPG where players will rise through the ranks of different sports like golf, tennis, football, and more. Players can unlock more and more games as they keep progressing in the game. Players can also explore dungeons and abandoned ruins around the world to find out several rewards. Sports Story is going to be released on Nintendo Switch this December.

2. Rogue Legacy 2

Rogue Legacy 2 is a sequel game to the previous games of the series. In Rogue Legacy 2, players need to earn more and more resources in order to build and upgrade their structures. Rogue Legacy 2 is going to be released later today for Nintendo Switch.

3. A Little to the Left

In the cosy puzzle game A Little to the Left, players arrange everyday things into pleasing configurations. The game features more than 75 puzzles for the players to discover. A Little to the Left launches on Nintendo Switch later today.

4. Venba

Players will aid an Indian mother who has recently relocated to Canada by making a range of delicious South Indian foods in Venba, a wholesome narrative cooking game set in the 1980s. Venba will be released on Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023.

5. Goodbye World

Goodbye World is a retro-inspired puzzle platformer. The game is set in the story of Kanii and Kumade. Goodbye World is coming to Nintendo Switch later this month.

6. Have a Nice Death

Have a Nice Death is a 2D action roguelike game. Pre-orders for the game are already ongoing. Have a Nice Death is going to be released on Nintendo Switch on March 22, 2023.

7. Aka

Aka is an open-world game where players take up the role of a retired warrior. Players can also nurture flora and fauna, build a shelter, craft items or even feed baby dragons. Aka will be released on Nintendo Switch on December 15.

8. Pepper Grinder

Pepper Grinder is an action-adventure game developed by Ahr Ech and Devolver Digital. Players will also be able to the stolen property of the protagonist in Pepper Grinder. Pepper Grinder is launching for Nintendo Switch in 2023.

9. Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly

In Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly, players take up the role of the barista of their own late-night coffee shop. Players will meet different types of people while their work. They must get to know each people and brew the specific coffee for each of the customers. Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly will be coming to Nintendo Switch next spring.

10. Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni

Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni is a 3D action-adventure game where players take up the role of a demon. In this game, players take the role of an oni who has been defeated by a Japanese folktale hero. Oni: Road to be the Mightiest Oni is releasing on March 9, 2023, for Nintendo Switch.

11. Desta: The Memories Between

Desta: the Memories Between, a new game from the makers of Monument Valley, has character-driven roguelike gameplay and includes a compelling narrative, clever turn-based strategy, and dodgeball action. The game will launch for Nintendo Switch early next year.

12. A Space for the Unbound

A Space for the Unbound is based on the love story of two people with supernatural powers. They set out on a journey to investigate their surroundings to find untold truths, and confront the end of the planet, in order to save their planet from mysterious powers. A Space for the Unbound will release on Nintendo Switch on Jan. 19, 2023.

13. Dordogne

In Dordogne, players take up the role of a girl called Mimi who sets out on a journey to unveil her relationship with her grandmother. Dordogne will be released on Nintendo Switch in spring 2023.

14. Botany Manor

Players will play as a retired botanist who owns a historical manor in the 19th century in the game Botany Manor. Players will take the responsibility of maintaining the garden in their own way. Botany Manor will be coming to Nintendo Switch next year.

15. Once Upon a Jester

Once Upon a Jester is an adventure game where players take up the role of a group of thieves trying to steal a royal diamond. Players have to finish different challenges to secure their spot in the competition. Once Upon a Jester will be coming to Nintendo Switch later today.

16. Blanc

In Blanc, a fawn and a wolf cub must make friends to find their way back home in the co-op adventure. Blanc will launch as a console-exclusive title on Nintendo Switch on Feb. 14, 2023. The pre-registration of Blanc has already started today.
