Slime Rancher 2, developed and published by Monomi Park is the sequel to the studio’s super successful game Slime Rancher. Slime Rancher 2 follows the adventures of the protagonist of the franchise Beatrix LeBleu as she travels across the colourful Rainbow Island. The island is filled with cute, wiggly creatures called Slimes of various types which could be used for various purposes to delve into the island’s mysteries. But to do that, one of the most necessary commodities is the Jetpack, and here we will talk about how a player can acquire it in Slime Rancher 2.
A step-by-step guide to acquiring the Jetpack in Slime Rancher 2
1. Locate the Fabricator
The first step to unlocking the Jetpack is to locate the machine which is responsible for chugging out this piece of wonder equipment. The Fabricator is fairly easy to locate. It is located at the bottom of the staircase which is immediately adjacent to the Plort Marketplace. Once you manage to go to the Fabricator, it will show you the materials required for crafting the Jetpack
- 450 Newbucks, 10 Phosphor Plorts, and 10 Radiant Ore.
2. Collect Newbucks
Newbucks, as you probably should know if you have played Slime Rancher 2, is the primary currency in the game. And it is also pretty easy to save up Newbucks to your requirements. You simply have to vac Plorts and sell them in the Plort marketplace where you will get Newbucks in exchange for the material.
3. Gather Phosphor Plorts
The second step to getting the Jetpack is to gather a total of ten Phosphor Plorts. The Phosphor Plorts could be acquired from the Phosphor Slimes in the game. Players might look for the Slimes in the Rainbow Field and not find any trace of what they need.
This is because the Phosphor Slimes only spawn at night in the form of little glowing orbs. They give Plorts when you feed them fruits such as the Pogofruit.
4. Gather Radiant Ore
Perhaps the hardest task you have to undertake while on your quest for the Jetpack is to collect the required number of Radiant Ores, which is ten. The Radiant Ores do not spawn in the Rainbow Field but do so in the Ember Valley, which is west of your initial location.
To unlock a portal to go there, you have to feed a total of 30 food items to the Pink Gordo north of the Refinery Link. The Gordo pops on being fed and reveals a water spout that takes you to the portal through which you can travel to the Ember Valley. There you can collect the required number of Radiant Ores.
Once you have all the necessary items, make your way back to the Fabricator in the underground cavern and select the Jetpack option. You can now traverse difficult terrain and cover ground faster on your quest to explore the vibrant island of Slime Rancher 2.
