How to find Tera Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Tera Pokémon can be found in several ways:
Catching Tera Pokémon in the wild
The trainers can find Tera Pokémon in the wild. The wild Tera Pokémon are higher level Pokémon than the other wild Pokémon in the Paldea region. These wild Tera Pokémon will have a glowing yellow light around them and will have their specific Tera type instead of the base type. Battle against these wild Tera Pokémon and when their HP is low they will turn into their base type and you can then catch them easily.
Tera Raid Battles
Tera Raid Battles are newly introduced battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, where four trainers have teamed up to battle against a wild terastallized Pokémon. Defeating the terastallized Pokémon in a certain period of time would bring it back to its original type and then any of the trainers can catch the Pokémon with a Pokéball.

How to Terastalize your Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The most important thing to terastallize your Pokémon is to find and recharge the Tera Orb. To recharge the Tera Orb, trainers have to visit a Pokemon Center and heal up their Pokémon. You can also recharge it by touching it with crystals that glow with Terastal energy. Tera Orb can be used only once and must be recharged again after use.
With a charged Tera Orb, the trainers will find a ‘Terastallize’ button while in battle. This will terastallize the Pokémon you are using and change its type. You can only terastallize one Pokémon in a battle. Press button R to Terastallize your Pokémon.
