How to unlock 6 Star Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
There are three major steps you are going to follow to unlock the 6-star raids. Let us go through all the steps one by one to see what are the best ways to tackle each one.
1. Gym Rematches
You may have faced one or two Gym leaders in order to gain Gym Badges. But, now you will need to complete the eight Gym rematches. By doing so, you will become the Champion of the Pokémon League. The Champion title is needed because only after gaining this, you will be contacted to return to the Academy. Thus, you can now go to the next step.
2. Academy Ace Tournament
After returning to the Academy, you will be invited to take part in the Academy Ace Tournament. If you want to complete this step, you have to win four matches against 4 random high-level trainers. They are pretty tough to beat, so you will have to prepare well for the tournament. After winning the Academy Ace Tournament you can move to the final step of the process.
3. Do Five to Ten 5-Star Raids
After the Tournament, you will get a call from Jacq. Jacq will tell you about the new 5 Star Raids appearing in the world. You will need to clear a lot of 5 Star before unlocking a 6 Star. Although the exact number is not clear, you may have to clear five to ten 5-Star Raids before you can move on to the 6-star ones.
However, you must host these raids to count towards the progress. So, keep searching 5 Star raids and complete them with team members. Continue completing them because Jacq will once again call you and inform you about a highly dangerous Raid that has appeared. That means, 6 Star Raids have appeared in Black Crystals on the map.
How to get into 6 Star Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
If you look at the map after receiving Jacq’s call, the 6-Star raids will appear as a glowing purple or black raid lair symbol. Follow the map and you will discover a Black Crystal Lair. Upon having contact with it, the lair will bring up the Tera Raid Battle screen.
Finally, you can now challenge a 6-Star Raid with your teammates. You can also challenge the Raid as a solo but as we know a 6-Star Raid is the hardest challenge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violate. So having a team will certainly benefit everyone while fighting.
How to prepare for the Battles
Before entering a battle with the most powerful Pokémon, you will need to prepare a lot of things. First, improve your HP and your attacking stat. Then, choose a strong Pokémon for Tera Raids. Try to level that Pokémonup to level 100. Now change their nature to Adamant or Modest, Hyper train your Pokémon and EV train your Pokémon that result in 252 HP and 252 Atk.
