Elden Ring’s Steam DB update suggests new content is on the horizon

Possibly a new DLC update.

Elden Ring has been the subject of rumors of a big DLC update for some time, and Hidetaka Miyazaki made it quite apparent from the stage at The Game Awards last December that FromSoftware are not yet finished with their most recent blockbuster.

Ahead of the game’s first anniversary, its Steam pages have been updated at the backend, the changes were spotted by a Redditor who posted about it on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit.

Elden Ring’s Anniversary event will be held this month

The main edition of the game on the Steam Store as well as the Deluxe Edition packages have recently been updated, according to Steam Database. These packages, can include as the game’s purchasing options as well as all of the written descriptions and images from the store page.

The updates are attention grabbing because these packages have only ever undergone two updates: once for the game’s initial release and once for the Colosseum upgrade. Two of the packages that should take you to the store page instead throw up 404 errors and take you back to the Home page, according to an Elden Ring data miner, Sekiro Dubi, indicating that the store pages are for unannounced items.

The Elden Ring DLC rumors and leaks have been floating for quite a while now as FromSoft’s titles generally receive one or more big expansions that iterate and improve on the existing ideas in their games. The fans might get a response in a few days as Elden Ring’s one year anniversary is almost here and recently, Bandai Namco — the publisher of most FromSoftware games, announced that a special livestream to celebrate the anniversary of Elden Ring’s release is slated to be held later this month.

There is no official information about a new DLC for the game, but whenever it is released it would be playable on all the platforms on which the game is available. Elden Ring was released on 25 February 2022 and is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
