D23 Expo 2022 Day 2: Complete list of announcements

All Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studio and Disney announcements live!

The second day of The Disney D23 Expo 2022 is live with more exciting announcements from Marvel Studios, Lucasfilms, 20th Century Studio, and Disney’s Epic Entertainment. At first, we will have the Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios showcase, following that we will have Disney’s Epic Entertainment Showcase and also a Zootopia+ series sneak peek. Here is a list of all the major Disney D23 Expo Day 2 announcements. This is a piece of developing news, we will keep updating as soon as new announcements are made. Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, and 20th Century Studios Showcase: Complete list of movie and series announcements from Day 2

1. Star Wars Andor

Starting today’s showcase Lucasfilm announced Andor, a brand new series from Star Wars which will experience a three-episode release on Disney+ on September 21, 2022 starring Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Kyle Solle, and Adria Arjona.

2. Willow

Disney announced their new series Willow which will be available to stream on Disney+ on November 30.

3. Star Wars: Bad Batch Season 2

Star Wars: Bad Batch will be back with another season on January 4, 2023, and it will have a total of 16 episode in the whole season.

4. Star Wars: Tales of Jedi

The animated series of Star Wars, Tales of Jedi will be available to stream on Disney+ from October 26.

5. Star Wars: Ahsoka

Lucasfilms teased a little bit about Star Wars: Ahsoka to the in-house audience. However, nothing else has been published yet.

6. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew

The audience got a first look at the Star Wars: Skeleton Crew starring Jude Law and directed by Jon Watts. The story will be based on a group of kids who get lost in the star wars galaxy.

7. The Mandalorian Season 3

The trailer of Mandalorian Season 3 has been published by Lucasfilms which can be streamed on Disney+ on 2023.

8. Indiana Jones 5

The first look of the new movie was revealed at the D23 expo and was exclusive to the audience present at the venue. Harrison Ford announced that it will be the final Indiana Jones movie. The trailer also got a standing ovation from the audience present.

9. Wakanda Forever

Ryan Coogler revealed the footage from Black Panther Wakanda Forever. The exclusive first look received huge applause from the audience. The footage shows Queen Ramonda protecting her kingdom from the world leaders who are only interested in Wakanda’s vibranium while the kingdom is at its weakest state.

10. Ironheart

Ironheart starring Anthony Ramos, Jim Rash, and Dominique Thorne has been revealed at the D23 expo as the first footage was shown to the audience. The series will be set based on a battle between sorcery and modern technology.

11. Antman and The Wasp Quantumania

Previously leaked Antman and The Wasp Quantumania have been officially announced at the D23 expo today as the audience was shown exclusive footage same as the one in Comic-on but with the addition of Kang, the film is directly related to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

12. Warewolf by Night

The trailer of Marvel’s next black and white presentation Warewolf by Night has been revealed along with a poster. It will be available to stream on Disney+ from October 7, 2022.

13. Secret Invasion

Marvel Studios released the trailer for their original series Secret Invasion which will be available to stream on Disney+ in 2023. The trailer shows Maria Hill finally reaching Nick Fury back after several failed attempts. Nick Fury then meets with Rhodey to warn him about his security contingent.

14. Loki Season 2

Season 2 of Marvel Studio’s hyped series ‘Loki’ has been announced at the D23 Expo with the addition of Ka Huy Quan in the cast. The footage was shown to the audience present at the expo and it starts off after the end of Loki Season 1. Loki Season 2 will again explore Multiverse, the footage also shows Loki warning everyone about the coming-war against Kang.

15. Armor Wars

Marvel Studios announced Armor Wars, the series will be coming to Disney+ and will feature Don Cheadle. The series will have six episodes and will be set right after Secret Invasion.

16. Fantastic Four

Kevin Feige confirms that Matt Shakman will be directing Fantastic Four and it will hit the screen on November 8, 2024 . However, nothing else was revealed related to the much hyped movie in the D23 Expo.

17. Echo

The trailer for Marvel Studio’s series Echo featuring Alaqua Cox was revealed by president Kevin Feige at the D23 Expo. Echo will see Vincent D’Onofrio returning as The Kingpin.

18. Daredevil Born Again

The audience at the D23 expo was shown the clip of Charlie Cox’s appearance as Daredevil from She-Hulk. The production for the new title will start in 2023.

19. Captain America New World Order

Captain America New World Order was announced at the D23 expo, Tim Blake Nelson previously seen in the Incredible Hulk is set to return to MCU with this movie. The fourth movie in Captain America series will most likely be a sequel to Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

20. Thunderbolts

Marvel Studio’s upcoming super villain team up movie Thunderbolts has been announced featuring Yelena, Bucky, US Agent, Ghost, Taskmaster and Red Guardian.

21. The Marvels

Marvel ended their studio showcase with the reveal of The Marvels, present at the D23 Expo was shown a footage of The Marvels featuring Brie Larson, Teyonnah Paris and Iman Vellani. The footage shows Monica Rambeau being trained by Nick Fury in a space station, Kamala is also seen waving at Fury wearing a spacesuit.

22. Avatar 2

20th Century Studio started their showcase with the announcement of Avatar 2 which will be available in theaters on December 16. A 3D scene from the new Avatar movie was shown to the audience present at the expo. They also revealed that Avatar 3 has finished filming and Avatar 4 will begin their production soon.
