Control spaceships and bring down enemies in Homeworld Mobile
The game takes place over a century since the original exodus and rediscovery of their Homeworld and 15 years since the warlord Maakan met his end at Balcora; the Hiigarans now look beyond their galaxy to explore and settle an uncharted universe through the Hyperspace Gates. Each kith and clan of Higara constructed their own ships to start upon a journey to chase the lost dream of the progenitors.
You will control spaceship carriers, interceptors, and destroyers to outmaneuver other fleet commanders, employ tactics to gain the upper hand, and engage kinetic guns and ion cannons to bring down enemies with intuitive free-reign controls. The gameplay mainly consists of 4 phases- Station Work, Scanning, Travel, and Combat.
You can build ships and maneuver them, select and deselect individual units to adjust formations or focus targeting. Your initial flagship, an Expedition ship escorted by squadrons and Escorts, starts with 3 Squadron slots. Escorts are larger vessels akin to Frigates, and your first Expedition Ship has 1 Escort Slot. Larger Flagships with more Escort slots can use 2 to fit a Destroyer. Ships available in the game till now are-
- Expedition Ship
- Explorer
- Destroyer
- Interceptor
- Assault Frigate
- Plasma Bomber
- Assault Corvette
- Resource Collector
- Destroyer
With options to form alliances or compete against other fleet commanders worldwide, you will be able to feel the essence of an MMO game.
Best tips, tricks, and strategies for beginners in Homeworld Mobile
1. Make Hyperspace jumps when needed
Don’t hesitate to use hyperspace humps when you are in backfoot in a fight. Hyperspace jump repairs all your ships automatically. So, you can always redo the mission with full strength after your escorts and strike ships are fully healed. Avoid battles during side missions when your tasks are completed.
2. Strategise during battles
Refrain from attacking your enemies with all your available units; try using the right units for the right enemies. For example, enemy ships with strong armor should be attacked using bombers, not interceptors. Try assigning specific units to a particular group and giving them specific tasks. Giving units specific tasks will rid you of facing problems of giving multiple commands to each unit during a battle.
3. Dock your strike craft to heal
Your strike craft can be instantly healed by docking it in the flagship. So you can heal your ships and redeploy them into battle at full strength in no time. And no worries, your flagship can never be destroyed; it can only be disabled.
4. Go on signal missions
Going on a relic or cagnacian missions will give you access to the main story and chances to collect resources and artifacts. Relic missions are easier to complete as you can collect the artifact using your resource collecter and instantly make a hyperspace jump, avoiding any heavy fight. Generally, in relic missions, enemies do not attack you right away; they will wait till you get to the artifacts.
Try avoiding progenitor missions because they are strong and can put heavy damage on your ships. You can also go on unique missions, which are scattered throughout the mission Chapters and can have multiple unique goals to overcome.
5. Mine and Build
Go on missions to collect resources such as blueprints, materials, etc., by resource collectors and use them to fabricate ships. Try refining Ru A ore more because it’s more needed during fabrication.
So these are the tips, tricks, and strategies that will help you, a beginner, go through Homeworld Mobile without any haze and have a perfect first experience.
