COD Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 leaks show upcoming weapons of Season 2
New and exciting contents from the upcoming update leaked online
Season 2 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 has not been officially announced by Activision yet, but the fans are still getting hyped up. Thanks to several new leaks that surfaced on the internet. The leaks suggest that two new weapons, a new multiplayer map, and the Ronin operator will be added to the games. One of the most exciting things about the season updates of all Call of Duty games is the new content that is added to the game. While Season 2’s release date is yet to be revealed, the fans are already excited about the new content yet to come.
Leaks suggest two new weapons are coming to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0
According to a famous Call of Duty Youtuber, data miner ‘CODSploitz’ has reportedly found the Crossbow weapon in the game file after the Season 1 Reloaded update. The crossbow was previously seen in Modern Warfare 2019 and Black Ops Cold War.
The weapon is also available to use in the campaign mode of Modern Warfare 2, so the rumours might be true. Activision has already taken down the image with the tweet, which makes the leak look more obvious.
In another leak, content creator Mavriq suggested that a new shotgun, most likely the Vepr-12 is on its way to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Post the season 1 reloaded update, Mavriq has found attachments which are believed to be of the semi-automatic Vepr-12 shotgun. The attachments were added to the game with the season 1 reloaded update.
Mavriq discovered these attachments in a private match of Modern Warfare 2. Previously, private matches included attachments for the Victus XMR, which was later added to the game. So the leak might just well be true.
New maps and operators reportedly leaked
According to leaks, the famous multiplayer Castle map might be added to Modern Warfare 2. The map was first featured in Call of Duty: World at War, and the remastered version of the multiplayer map was added to Call of Duty: Vanguard
The DMZ mode might get a new map for the players to choose from. The new Building 21 map might be added to the map pool of Warzone 2.0’s DMZ modes map pool along with Al-Mazrah. Even though the news has not yet been confirmed, or no solid leak has been found, the exciting extraction shooter mode of Call of Duty might get more interesting with a new map being added.
According to other reports, two new operators might be coming with the season 2 update of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. The reports suggest that Velikan and Ronin might be the two brand-new operators.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 2 release date
Activision has not yet announced the final release date of season 2 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. But the update is expected to go live around February 1, 2023.
However, Activision has not yet responded to any leaks or information related to season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. The fans will have to wait a bit longer to get any announcement about the season 2 update.
