Mortal Kombat: Onslaught complete currency guide

Know each currency

In the first quarter of 2023, Mortal Kombat: Onslaught, a mobile version of the popular Mortal Kombat role-playing game, will be fully released. Similar to one of the most well-known mobile games, Raid: Shadow Legends, this free-to-play role-playing arena game blends combat action with a fully realized cinematic tale. The primary components that players must gather in order to advance and carry out actions in many gacha-style RPG games are currency. In this article, we will discuss the existing currencies that are offered to players in Mortal Kombat: Onslaught’s early access and how they can be used.

Mortal Kombat: Onslaught: types of currencies

There are now a total of five different main currencies available and usable in the game as it stands. In order for players to advance through the game, each piece of money has a different value and a different purpose. The five separate currencies that players would have to acquire and use are as follows.

Koins

The primary in-game currency for the game is koins. We could say that it is the primary currency that players will use for a wide variety of purposes. Koins can be used for a variety of purposes, including enhancing heroes, improving gear, and even replacing heroes’ equipment. This is the main resource that, despite being generously rewarded, never seems to be sufficient.

Krystals

The game’s premium currency is known as Krystals. In essence, this is the primary currency used by pay-to-win players who wish to avoid having to work hard to become strong. Since Krystals can be used to purchase a variety of other currencies and other useful items, you can pretty much use them whenever you need something.

Skull Orbs

The in-game currency for Mortal Kombat: Onslaught’s gacha system is called skull orbs. These skull orbs can be traded in order to summon in the game’s pull system, where you can obtain anything from a common piece of useless equipment to a very uncommon five-star character. Because there are no guarantees as to which character you will get, you should probably stock up on skull orbs if you want to summon a powerful character.

Character Exp

One of the most crucial resources for the game’s real-time progression is character experience. In essence, this is the currency players would use to level up or improve their heroes in order to make them stronger. Without character experience, the player will become trapped in levels with powerful enemies. No matter how strong their equipment is or how rare their character is, being under-leveled will never help them win.

Arena Medals

Arena Medals are mid to late-game currencies that function similarly to Krystals, albeit with a slightly smaller selection of currencies and trade-up perks. These arena medals can only be obtained by completing and rising in the arenas, where your team will be pitted against other competitive players with excellent equipment and character.
