The watchlist is back to identify players who’ve caught the eye based on past performances and upcoming fixtures. So here are a few suggestions for your consideration.

1. Aaron Ramsdale (Goalkeeper) – 4.9 million

This would be more of a situational suggestion. The Arsenal goalkeeper was last gameweek’s best goalie with 11 points against North London rivals Tottenham. On way to keeping a clean sheet, he made 7 saves and also collected the maximum bonus points from that game.

This week, the Gunners face rivals Manchester United and then have a double GW 23. Furthermore, in the upcoming 10 PL games, he would be facing 7 opponents with an FDR of 2. In such an instance, it won’t be absurd to include a low-budget Goalie such as Ramsdale in your plans.

2. Kieran Trippier (Defender) – 6.0 million

Perhaps the most in-form defender. The English right-back is ahead of the 2nd best defender of FPL by 42 points! Also, he hasn’t blanked for 7 game weeks running, getting bonus points in each of them. The Magpies’ full-back is currently the 2nd highest FPL scorer, with 133, just behind Erling Haaland (146).

Furthermore, he is 1st on Creativity and 2nd on Influence overall Index and might continue to be so. Newcastle‘s upcoming three fixtures have an FDR of 3 or less and surely Trippier is a must-have at the moment, in case you can cope-up with his high price.

3. Martin Ødegaard (Midfielder) – 6.8 million

Haaland isn’t the only Norwegian dominating the PL currently. The Arsenal captain hailing from Norway is currently in superb form and deserves a place in any FPL squad. His 20-yard stunner against Tottenham ensured 3 points and safety for the gunners on top of the table. Currently, he averages 8.9 points per game for the past 4 gameweeks, averaging 3 shots per game in that time span.

With his 8th goal of the season coming that day, he made sure he overtakes Miguel Almiron as the top FPL midfielder. Since the restart, Odegaard has collected as much as 35 points for his FPL managers (topmost among his teammates). As said earlier, Arsenal’s DGW 23 and the favorable fixtures that follow, might make Odegaard an asset to have right now.

4. Solly March (Midfielder) – 5.1 million

The Brighton man played a direct role in each of his team’s 3 goals against Liverpool in their 3-0 victory. Furthermore, he took 4 shots, attempted 4 assists in that game, and is currently another in-form asset to watch out for.

He currently averages 12.1 points per game in the past 4 gameweeks, taking 2.7 shots on average per game. With 4 goals and 2 assists in the past 4 game weeks, he also belongs to a team who have 12 goals in the past 4 gameweeks, and hence, the suggestion. Favorable fixtures ahead can also be vital with his selection.

5. Ivan Toney (Forward) – 7.5 million

The Bees’ talisman returned from injury to score the 13th goal of the season. He has had a massive xGI of 1.05 for the past 4 game weeks. The English forward has found the net in each of his 4 outings, with 5 goals and an assist in that time, averaging 9.8 points per game.

He has had 9 big chances in front of the goal, only 2nd to Darwin Núñez‘s 10. He currently stands 3rd among forwards in the Influence Index, and 6th in the overall ICT Index. Also, 5 of Brentford’s fixtures up to GW27 have an FDR of 2. The only 2 difficult fixtures are against Arsenal and Manchester United, against whom the Bees have a reputation for causing trouble.
