XSEED Games recently announced that Potionomics will be released on PC through Steam in mid of October. Potionomics is a shop simulation game where the character is a young spellcaster who runs her uncle’s shop. As a character, the players will have to gather different ingredients to make potions and sell them to people or customers who visit the shop frequently. Players will also have to interact with different other events going on in the town ‘Rafta.’
Potionomics is a management simulator and a deck-building game
Potionomics consists of different colorful characters, unique personalities, and an amazing and attractive story related to personal growth and the spirit of entrepreneurs. The protagonist of the game is Silvia, playing as her, players will have to learn how to brew some of the best potions in the town of Rafta.
It’ll be a bit tough for starters to brew and sell potions in the first place as there will be a lot of negotiations among other characters and players. Negotiations will normally be played out by a card-based system battle where the players will have to try to balance Sylvia’s stress level meter while also Collecting the most money for her equipment and wares. Sylvia also will have to upgrade her shop and decorate it in various manners which will attract more customers to buy from her.
Keeping the hustle aside, being friends with other shopkeepers around can be a good thing for the players, as they will be really helpful and beneficial including developing new effective bargaining skills. The way Silvia will progress in the game is by playing her cards, the customer might become really helpful and also maybe more than friends. There are a few gameplay features to keep in mind.
Potionomics: Gameplay features
Making a deal can be hard and overwhelming for the players when each and every coin has great value, but players will be able to manage the character’s stress level by playing the right cards at the right time. Getting to be friends with other shopkeepers of the town and different customers will help Silvia to learn more bargaining skills.
Choosing the best ingredients for potions will result in even making the basic potion into something more outstanding. If the players make everything perfect may it be the aroma of the spell or the taste, it will please certain customers who are very faddy. Players must always be careful of what they are brewing or they will end up making something disgusting.
Rafta consists of some of the world’s most powerful magic and some huge RPG personalities who are constantly progressing their skills and activities. Being friends with them and asking them to work for Silvia will make Silvia’s skills of making potions more prominent. Though players won’t be able to find everyone so familiar or friendly.
Players shall try to make Sylvia’s shop more colorful with different decorative items. This will help in reducing certain item prices, reducing the spell brewing time, and enhancing the quality of shop and potions.

Potionomics: Release date and platforms
Potionomics will be released on PC by Steam on the 17th of October. Users will be able to purchase it for $24.99 and can also have a Deluxe Edition for $39.99 with which a Digital Artbook will be provided. The Standard Edition of the game will get a 10% discount and the Deluxe Edition of the game will get a 15% discount in the first week till the 24th of October.
The game is being released on only one platform right now and that will be PC. It is being released through Steam only at the moment. There’s no news telling that it will be available on any other platforms such as PS5 or XBOX Series, maybe in the future, we’ll be able to see that. Though it’s pretty hard to anticipate that right now. The game is available on Steam for adding to the wishlist only, pre-booking of the game is not available right now. Maybe in the near future as the release date gets close we’ll get to see the pre-book option.
The game’s graphics and 3d character images are great. This game was in development for over 6 years and the players who were waiting for it to release are very excited to play the game. By far from watching the trailer the game seems pretty fun and exciting, the developers did not announce any early access date for the game so it is hard to say whether they are going to release it or not. Still, players can wait for any further announcements made by the game developers.
