Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Shiny Pokémon are rare Pokémon that have unique colours, different from the usual colour of their species. They aren’t any different from their fellow species of Pokémon other than just the colour. But for trainers, it is a great feat to catch a shiny Pokémon because of its tremendous rarity.
The odds of finding a shiny Pokémon in the wild is 1 to 4096, which means the chances of finding one are very slim. While Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have encouraged shiny Pokémon hunting by enabling trainers to spot a shiny Pokémon in the overworld (Pokemons will be seen as shiny) and fixating a counter in the Pokédex which showcases the number of Pokémon battled. But still, the odds of finding a Pokémon are very slight.
Tricks to get Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
One of the easiest ways to get hold of a shiny Pokémon is by doing the Shiny Picnic Reset Method. The trick was found by the YouTuber PhillyBeatzU.
At first, Trainers will have to go to the map and search for a nearby Pokémon outbreak. After going there, trainers will have to knock out at least 60 Pokémon to dim the odds. It will be easier to go with your strongest Pokémon to knock out the wild Pokémon.
By doing so, the odds of finding shiny Pokémon will come down to 1/1365, Which is a large leap in itself. Knocking out 30 Pokémon will result in odds of 1/2048.
Next, layers will save their game and go to the main menu to open up a picnic in the outbreak area; by doing so, all the Pokémon will despawn. Then players will pack up the picnic, resulting in Pokémon respawning in the outbreak area.
After that, players will have to search the outbreak area for a shiny Pokémon. The process will have to be repeated, likely a dozen times, until a shiny Pokémon pops up with all the respawned Pokémon. And by following this process, trainers can catch as many shiny Pokémon as they want, each taking merely 5-10 minutes.
