One Piece, one of the most adventurous and influential anime in recent times is on the brink of its latest entry into the video gaming industry. One Piece Odyssey, developed by ILCA and produced by Bandai Namco this JRPG definitely has great backing from the start as the developers at ILCA are known for brilliant RPGs such as the Nier series, Dragon Quest and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Perl, and many more.
One Piece Odyssey is definitely shaping up to be an interesting proposition, to say the least. The original manga that this game is based on, namely One Piece is still one of the most followed and fan-favourite shows in the Animé community and is regarded as an iconic show, and with that comes the iconic stature of the original voice actors. As apparent in our list of voice actors, a lot of focus was put into the retention of the original cast of voice actors for the main cast all the while it isn’t sure if this is the case for all the side characters as well, one thing is certain that One Piece Odyssey would definitely sound very familiar to the fans.
One Piece Odyssey does not have English voice acting
One Piece Odyssey, for those who are unfamiliar with the original IP, is based on a manga and originally star all Japanese voice actors in the animé series with a few exceptions like Zoro and Monkey D. Luffy who were voiced by English actors.
However, the latest entry in the video adaptation saga of One Piece much like most of its predecessors won’t feature an English voice-acting cast as you’ve probably guessed by the cast. The original voice actors of Zoro and Monkey D. Luffy, primarily English voice artists won’t feature in this game and consists entirely of Japanese audio.
