Possible sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is finally coming
ArtPlay, the developers of the RPG “Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night,” has teased their potential new titles, which are expected to be announced by 2023. Developers are hoping to make big announcements in 2023, and it just might be about the much-awaited sequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night.
The spiritual successor to the game series Castlevania, “Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night,” is an action RPG with Metroidvania-styled gameplay, which gamers have been liking a lot. After years of teasing, the Kickstarter-funded side-scroller game was released on Jun 18, 2019, and quickly became a fan favorite to the players who liked the Castlevania series.
Since then, the devs have been adding new content to the game and have polished it quite well. Following the success of the game, gamers have been eagerly waiting for a sequel.
Developers tease the sequel before the big announcement in 2023
In an interview with the Japanese publication Famitsu, the leading developer of Bloodstained, Koji Igarashi, hinted about a potential sequel to the game by talking about a ‘Big Announcement in 2023’.
Developers at ArtPlay are hoping to make a big announcement in 2023, which according to them, is the ‘Next Step’ for the Studio. Igarashi plans to complete Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night by releasing the remaining content, which they have been releasing regularly.
It is speculated that the sequel will be what the Studio will announce in 2023. While it is confirmed that Bloodstained will be getting a new sequel, whether it will be announced at the event or not is something the fans will have to wait for some time more.
