Avatar made its comeback for the second part, Avatar: The Way of Water on 16th December 2022 and the franchise is preparing for the release of its next sequel Avatar 3. An undeniably famous and excellent movie recognized for its visual effects, Avatar 3D (first part) made its way to the hearts of millions of people despite having a simple and predictable storyline. This film was among the first to use intense digital production and contributed greatly to the development of mainstream 3D movies. Now the 3rd part, filmed in New Zealand, is all set to arrive in theatres next year and fans are already making a noise about it!
Avatar 3 plot will continue the story of Pandora
In the 1st part, paraplegic Marine Jake Sully decides to go on a mission in a distant world away from Earth to Pandora and as the 2nd installment continues we can see him living in his newfound home in Pandora as he works with Neytiri and the Na’vi tribe to protect their home.
As hinted, the 3rd part is to show the darker side of the Na’vi race. The 1st part focused on the jungles of Pandora and the 2nd part featured its jungles, we are yet to know which part of the biome the story will be about.

Avatar 3 release date
Director James Cameron announced that the third installment of the Avatar franchise, Avatar 3, will be released in 2024. Although the 3rd part is yet to get a name, it might be named Avatar: The Seed Bearer just as the director had suggested.
Cameron confirmed that a few shots of the third sequel have already been shot during the filming of Avatar: The Way of Water and almost 95% of filming is done. The film’s release has been subjected to eight delays and if there aren’t any more delays then the film is set to release on 20th December 2024.
Producer John Landau told The Collider in an interview, “We’re gonna continue to raise the bar with the storytelling first. I think that what we’re gonna do is go out and meet new clans. We’re gonna go out and see different biomes, and that’s gonna present its own technological challenges. How do we present those? Just like water presented challenges in this one.”
